Cyber Monday is December 1st this year.

It’s one thing to drag ourselves out of bed the morning after Thanksgiving to brave the crowds with our hair strategically hidden under a hat (unless you’re one of those who show up the rest of us by showering and primping before a 4 am shopping spree) and sprint for the limited quantities of discounted merchandise.
It’s a whole different playing field to wake up, grab a cup of steaming coffee and sit down in front of our computers in comfy jammies to score some holiday deals. Cyber Monday is the new age of Holiday shopping and we LOVE it.
5 ways to make the most of Cyber Monday:
- Sign Up for Website Newsletters!
If you haven’t already, go visit websites that you might want to shop at and sign up for their newsletters right now. As we approach Cyber Monday (AND Black Friday) — companies are all going to be vying for your attention and your money. They’ll be using their newsletters to send out special promotions, coupons and offers that you wouldn’t know about if you weren’t signed up for them!
- Sign Up for Text Messaging Platforms!
Many companies are switching to texting platforms as their primary means of communicating with their customers (we are!) versus email because let’s face it, email boxes are swamped these days. If you visit a website and they offer a text platform, sign up for it. Typically they don’t message you more than 12 times a month and when they do, it’s usually a coupon for a discount. When it comes to Cyber Monday, that discount is going to be a GOOD one!
- Follow Your Favorite Companies on Social Media
Again, on the days leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, companies are going to be pulling out all the big discounts, promotions and LOOK AT US banners, so pay attention to them on Social Media and watch for the discounts you can pass up.
- When it’s time to checkout Online — Watch Out for Shipping & Additional Charges
Sometimes big promotions CAN be to good to be true. Watch for tricky add ons like big shipping charges or additional handling charges that drive up the cost of your great deal. If your 4 dollar deal suddenly costs $14 dollars at checkout, we suggest taking your money and clicking the X in the red box at the top right of your screen. Sometimes a lot of companies offer free shipping deals on Cyber Monday. so watch for those!
- Print Out All Your Receipts As Your Purchase
Organization. Times Two. Printing all your receipts as your frenzy purchase on a day like Cyber Monday not only helps you keep track of how much you are spending, it also helps you keep your records straight as packages come in. When your packages start coming in, move your printed off receipts from a pending in the mail pile to received at the door pile!
We hope these tips help you enjoy your Cyber Monday!
